OshKosh B'Gosh Girl's Top

This a denim top for girls by OshKosh B'Gosh. Very fine and comfortable and held up after many washing. It is amazing to see how many denim items at retail are made in Bangladesh these days. I remember my childhood in Bangladesh in the 1980s and how difficult it was to Jeans. When my father went overseas, my list to him always included a nice pair of Jeans. Now in 2017, Bangladesh is the #1 supplier of denim to EU market and #3 supplier to the US market after China and Mexico. This is great leap for Bangladesh and will continue to grow as the global denim market is expected to grow another 8% by 2020.

Berne Youth Girl's Winter Jacket

You may not have heard Berne Apprel's name but they sure do have a history. The Berne Overall & Shirt Company was founded in the small Indiana community of Berne, Indiana way back in 1915. It was founded to provide mid-western farming community work clothing at an affordable price, They are still around and I ran into this at a Farm & Fleet retail store recently. It's amazing to see some many brands (be it global or local) get their quality garments from Bangladesh.

This is a kid's winter warm winter jacket in pink. Comfortable yet very sturdy fabric that will last and can be passed down to several kids,

Hugo BOSS Limited Edition Mercedes Benz Men's Shoes

Hugo Boss limited edition Mercedes Benz shoes made in Bangladesh! I didn't find this and neither were the pictures taken by me. This went viral in the web when Bangladesh's state minister of foreign affirs took the pictures and posted on his Facebook page. This a awesome news and I am happy to see a big brand's confidence in fine Bangladeshi manufacturing. I hope to see more news, Twitter and Facebook posts like this one.

This also made to news in major news media in Bangladesh. I will try to make a trip to a Hugo Boss store and check this out for myself and feel good about it :)

H&M Men's Leather Dress Shoes

Very trendy H&M Men's black leather dress shoes at the H&M stores. Leather industry in Bangladesh is fast growing and hopefully we will see more exports like this for other brands. Total export of leather shoes was roughly 120 million US$ in 2016 which is a very small fraction as compared textile but has a great potential. I will be sure to keep my eyes open to find more shoes made in Bangladesh all over the world.
